Re Plating Medals £8-00 per item

This is a process that we apply to every medal for the In pensioners at The Royal Hospital Chelsea. This process means that medals do not need cleaning again.

We recommend that this is only done to 'silver' medals as UN and NATO medals should be of a non shiny / dull bronze colour.

With WWI & WWII stars we replate them with 2% gold. This starts off brilliantly shiny and then tones down a little much like a gold wedding ring would.

The stamping of your details around the rim remain.

We should however point out that in a few circumstances, when the original stamping of the medal wass very feint, details can be a little hard to read. This has only happened on a couple of medals and we re plate approx 80-100 medals per month.
